I had a retired ford mechanic rebuild my FMX transmission out of my 70 cougar eliminator. I went and picked it up today and this was the sign on his shop.

Funny because it's true.

Nothing ruins a cool build like seeing a Chevy engine powering it.

I have nothing against engine swaps, but I tend to like to stay with the same manufacturer. My only exception is diesel. I've swapped Cat, Cummins and Detroit into stuff and all 3 were supplied OEM by Ford so I'm ok with it and anything is better than the GM and Navistar precup engines.

I doubt Henry ever said that. Being he died in '47 and the SBC didn't appear before '55 seems unlikely. I guess people could have been swapping 4 bangers, so who knows. I know nothing.
