Once in awhile I just build something because I feel like it. I'll list them here when finished
This would be the correct carburetor for a 66 Comet or Fairlane with a 4 speed.
I would like $550 shipped.
If you are interested, let me know and I'll test it out.

Also have all the parts chromated and plated for many other Ford FE carbs.
set of BK/BJ. set of 660's, various GT carbs, 66/67/68, etc all ready to assemble and test, if interested drop me a line.

I got the idea to make some 1849 2x4 setups.
I did up this one to be kinda like a cheaper replacement for C3AE-9510-C carbs.
Anyway, dual 550cfm carbs, mild calibration changes, setup to look more original.
I made the trunnions out of 3/8 steel rod on the lathe, carbs are setup for medium riser linkage.
1849's are sold.... headed to New Zealand

Hey Drew. Looking at these pics it occurred to me that lighting and photo angle seems to have an effect on color from one shot to the next. Do you think taking a few out in the sunlight would help consistency? Most of these carbs are going to be viewed at car shows, right? Just an idea, not criticism.

The coloration is highly variable depending on how you look at it. Just like oil on water. If the light hits it right you see the rainbows, look at another angle and it just looks like water.
I dunno about car shows, seems like most of the people I sell to really drive the cars. . I just build them to run really well, making them pretty is a handy bonus, and obviously doesn’t hurt selling them.
I’ll take some out in the sunlight to take pics sometime. These are all taken in my shop with fluorescents that are heavy in the blue spectrum (which I prefer for a work space)

I should make a distinction between car shows and weekend cruise-ins. The first typically has a bunch of trailer queens. The second attracts a higher percentage of driven vehicles. That is what I was referring to.
