Use comp hyd. lifters on Comp Cam or other lifters ??

Any having problems with Comp lifters ??

I have 2 unused sets of Ford factory hyd.  lifters
..........................................................................................

Used 390, 1st an 2nd rings mike .001 smaller than tiny lip on outside edges

Are the rings worn or can the rings on the outside edge build up a lip ??
