Post by: fekbmax on October 17, 2016, 02:02:17 PM
Anyone here had or seen a set of these in person ?
Wonder if any are around anywhere or still available?

Found this:  Bessel Motorsports
http://www.strokerkits.com/product/ford-fe-crankshafts-connecting-rods-rotating-assemblies/

They don't list the caps anymore?

Bessel is still around but I do not believe they ever sold the main caps separate. Look under blocks then call because these are offered with a fully machined block caps installed. Blair Patrick had one in his shop and maybe he will relate his experience. It may be found on forum 54 site.

I was looking at the caps and I would say it would take quite the machining to fit them and doubt that most shops would touch it anyway.
The Program caps are simple compared to these.

I've talked to them. They are very close to St Louis, MO. The drawback, to my mind, is that they want you to send them your block to have the caps fitted. And they ARE quite proud of them.

With the tapered sides they cut in the block I'm betting it isn't done an old Bridgeport!!  Thus the pricey cost.
I think it is way overkill for a stock block.  If you want to spend that kind of money you might as well go aftermarket block and get crossbolt caps.

Yeah, for sure not something I'd pay for. If i found a old set of used caps I would for sure do it myself though.

Just incase anyone is interested, I had contact with Ronnie Besselman and he said he sold the machine shop part of his business.  He said that the new owner has the program for the caps and can and does still make them. Said he will make the caps only or will do the caps and block.
His contact info is:
