Title: Bank to Bank Bore Spacing
Post by: jayb on April 14, 2011, 11:04:32 AM
Does anybody have an exact dimension for the distance that the left cylinder bank is set back from the right bank?  For example, if you measured from the front of the engine to the center of the #1 cylinder, you would get some dimension.  If you measured from the same reference point on the front of the engine to the center of the #5 cylinder, you would get a longer dimension.  Anyone know the exact difference between these two dimensions?  Exactly how much farther back is the left bank than the right bank?  Thanks, Jay

Jay -

Per my copies of factory sideoiler block drawings (bought from Dave Shoe), the stagger distance from the left bank to right bank on the FE is 0.880 inch.

Hope this helps!
