So I am in the market to have a Aluminum drive line build for the Bad Byrd project, the guy that has always build my stuff over the years has gone out of business. There is a couple other builders in town but I have never heard anything good about either one of them.
Anyone have any good experiences with a certain driveline builder that they want to share with me?

I used Dynotech in Michigan after hearing good things, but was not impressed.
Showed up longer than ordered, and they said they felt it would be fine, it wouldn't have fit in the car let alone work under suspension movement, So they fixed it, shipping on my dime, then it rang so loud I though I had a bad rear end
It was a completely new rear axle, so I wasn't sure what the issue was, finally diagnosed it to the driveshaft, local truck shop could not find anything wrong, but cut it back a bit to redo their ugly second weld (all the others were a work of art, but the shortening seemed to be done completely different) and it's silent now, so something was wrong
Unfortunately, the salesman was ridiculously defensive and miserable even after he reviewed my order for and read back the correct length. So when I retubed it and it fixed the second problem, I chalked the bad tube up to karma and won't go back to them.
A couple buddies used Denny's Driveshaft, then there is Inland Empire, saw nice ones in pictures, but that's about all I have other than cold calling

What size tubing did you run?
The 32 has a 3" but thats 400 RWHP, my 800 RWHP lightning had a 5" but a little over done for the Bad Byrd I think so I am thinking 4" should work just about right in this application.
You have more CI then I and a manual vs an Automatic so whatever you had built for yours I am thinking will be hella stout for mine.

3.5 inch with the big 1350 U-joints. 49 7/8 center to center. Rated for 1000 hp... If I break that something is wrong.
If you go longer it may need a larger tube, but if you are anywhere near there you'll have room to spare

I had Driveshaft Specialist in San Antonio build one for my Galaxie. 4.0" dia with 1330 joints. I had it overbuilt because my setup uses such a darn long shaft (60" center to center) and 3.89 gears. Looks perfect to me and fits like it should. It came to right at $520 including the slip yoke, sales tax and shipping. Ordered on Wednesday and it arrived the following Monday. I think I talked to two different guys during the course of getting my order together and they were both good to deal with. Never told me I was ordering the wrong thing for my car or any of that nonsense, they just made sure I got what I wanted. Thumbs up from me for those guys.

I think Barry had good luck with them, my guy might have had a bad day. I will say I was so surprised with his attitude it took me a second, in person I would have either been in his bosses office, or had him hanging by the throat. I don't usually say things like that either, he truly was a jerk. For a 500-something dollar customer that they screwed the order and we had an order form to back it up, you would have thought I stole his wife, dog and piggy bank the way he talked to me.
I can't explain the ringing, delivered the first time it was very pretty just too long LOL

I have used Dennys Driveshaft will good success.
They were fast and fair priced.
The steel driveshaft I had made was excellent quality.

I have a Denny's Shaft and Inland Empire Shaft. They are both perfect and came exactly as ordered.
I have run them for thousands of miles and never had any issue with either one.

I have used Inland Empire and would use them again, few friends of mine have really liked there Denny's driveshaft as well.

I have used them several times with good results. They do have a peculiar measuring methodology - but it's explained in their form fairly well. They are a division of Balance Engineering - an OE manufacturer of driveline balancing equipment - and are normally pretty good at their deal. You must've gotten a real twink of a salesguy...

I have a Dynotech shaft in my race car and one in my 5.0 Falcon. Both were received as expected and look fine. Have a Denny's shaft in my street Fairlane (a hand-me-down from the race car). Also very nice part. The Denny's shaft is MMC aluminum, which is now only available though Mark Williams.

Little late to the post, but figured I'd chime in.
I just had a 3.5" 1330 aluminum made by shaftmasters.com that was MUCH cheaper than other shops I'd checked out (Denny's, Inland Empire, Dynotech, etc). $430 shipped to my door, with slip yoke. Almost too cheap to be true if you check around, but they use Alcoa tubing and Spicer ujoints so they don't skimp on materials.
It looks well made, welds are clean, and fit well, was to my door in less than a week.
Now, can't really comment on how it actually drives, can't/won't drive while the roads are salty, but wanted to throw it out there as an option.

$500 ! That'd buy ten of mine. Stock Crown Vic fuzz car, says "Police" right on it, uJoints it came with adapted to my Strange slip yoke.
I moved the rear end an inch forward to fit it since i had to trim the rockers to clear the tires anyways.
If i needed a shorter one than anything comes stock with (and i do for my Capri) i'm getting the same fuzz car shaft shortened for about $100. The 1330 solid Ujoints are plenty strong.
