Title: SBF 302 measurement Ex manifolds
Post by: FERoadster on October 11, 2022, 04:31:07 PM
Does someone have the width of 302 head exhaust surfaces?
All of my SBF stuff is gone so now I only have a set of 289 Cobra headers.
Trying to figure out if they would fit outside of a 1931 Model A frame. Will sell them on HAMB but would like to know if they would clear.
My 31 Roadster is slated for a FE.
Thanks

Ford says 18 1/4" for a 302. But it is overall width.

Yes, those dimensions are w/o the exhaust manifolds. Hope this is good enough to determine if those headers clear the frame rails.

Heo and Bob: Thanks, now I can get the dimensions I need.
I do have a boxed Model A frame to measure fit.
