Found the flex plate ring. Has anyone used any of the aftermarket tranny tubes like the one that actually mounts to the firewall.
Also has anyone used the original chrome baldies with T&D race rockers. I laid them on there and it’s close maybe a thicker valve cover gasket or is there such a thing as a valve cover spacer.

Aftermarket fill tube like the Lokar one that mounts to the firewall....

I detest those things.

They have a tiny hole for filling/checking the trans fluid.
The hole is not much bigger than the cable type dipstick that comes with it.

You need a much smaller funnel compared to a "normal" fill tube.
Easy to make a big mess just trying to fill the trans.

I have valve cover spacers on my 289 which uses GT-350R valve covers and I have roller rockers.I also bought a set for a 340 I was involved in.So its possible.Just do some searching.Jay could certainly make some as he has alot of that info already loaded..

There are aftermarket replacement "normal" universal fill tubes.
Much better that that Lokar thing.

If you’re not worried about it being exact OEM right now, a company called Masta Performance makes nice locking dipstick replacements. Masta actually makes them for some of the aftermarket companies, and you can save a bit ordering them direct without the various brand names. It doesn’t look like they have a picture on their website, but they might be able to provide a picture first if you want, or it’s possible I might have one here i can take a picture of later. Here’s a link to their website:

** edited to add picture **

Here’s what the Masta Performance FE C6 locking dipstick looks like

Also, again not an exact original, but I know that the ‘70’s FE 2wd pickup truck C6 dipstick & tube work in a ‘67-‘68 Mustang, my guess they might fit the ‘69-‘70 also. That might be a little easier and cheaper  to find than the original FE Mustang part.

Not a bad looking tube assembly.
