Excellent, and beautiful car.
-
That’s great! Glad to see it hit the track. Sounds like a fun combo, very streetable.
-
+1 Beautiful car!
-
Very impressive right out of the gate. I saw your car there and thought it was very sharp.
-
Very cool.
Congrats!
A little work on that 60 foot and you'll be getting much quicker indeed!

So happy with this engine you built, Barry. Felony heads make power, everywhere. The throttle response is incredible, but then it still wants to pull hard way past 6500. And the engine wasn't even hot after a pass. If the car were built for drag racing, (change to 4.10s, slicks, trans brake, ram air, aggressive timing curve, race fuel) it would run very close if not into 10s.
-
Like Barry said work on that 60 ft time and you will see very low 11s maybe high 10s.
-
Yep, also have a caged Mustang, goes 1.4xx sixty foot and 10.7s. Not likely that this silver car will return to a track; no point since it's not getting a cage, just will finish installing the A/C. It's fun to dream and plan what would happen with all the drag preparations like light weight wheels, a C4 w/trans brake hitting slicks and 4.30 gears, swap the RPM intake for a TW and two 660's, electric water and fuel pumps, bigger headers...actually we do want to build 2.0" primary headers. To save time we used 1.75" truck headers that only needed 2 tubes modified to clear the rack & pinion suspension.

The GTA is a quick car in street trim. Not all combos come together that well. Nice that you have the others to play with.
-
Thanks! Did you have your Fairlane there? I can't tell the color in the tiny picture.
-
Your car is very, very nice! It is impressive for a nice street car. Glad to met you two and find another FE enthusiast so close to home.
-
Nice first outing. And don't forget, Beaver Springs is uphill, so you would have ran a couple of tenths quicker at a normal (flat) track.
-
I remember seeing this car at the FERR. Looked very sharp with the styled steel wheels and Silver Frost paint, I thought. I think your co-pilot borrowed my air pressure gauge. I had the Clearwater Aqua wagon. I did'nt get to see your car make a pass, and did not realize it ran so good. Beaver is usually a little slower track than ATCO and Cecil County, or even Island.

Yep that was us. Your wagon launches beautifully. I forget, was yours a marine-side oiler? And which heads and cam are you are using?

Nice!

Nice looking car!
I sure miss not having a 66-67 Fairlane or Comet
