I'm having discussions with a rod manufacturer on offering some 6.700-7.000" FE journal connecting rods made. This would open up a lot of options for lighter weight pistons on standard FE crankshafts, such as the 3.500" stroke, 3.780", 3.980", etc. No crankshaft modifications needed.
Any interest? I think it would be a lot easier to get done with a 5-10 set order.

yes , 428 ci , street engine , pump gas .

I may be interested, small end for the chevy pin?
-
I'd have to see, but probably so since there's a lot more SBC/BBC wrist pin choices than FE.
-
I don’t think I’d be picky, so long as the piston design is what we’re after.

Depending on price, I could go for 6.9 lg x .927 WP

Right now, Molnar would be my supplier of choice and it would probably end up somewhere around $750-800 a set.
Scat said they could do some sets at $550 each, but it would take a 20-set order.

Ok, we are cleared for an order.....will need (5) takers. I'll take 1 set, so just need 4 more guys.

Molnar rods ??
Will all 5 sets need to be the same dimensions ??
If so, what are the dimensions and price ??
Ricky.

At this point, they would all be the same length.
I would aim for 6.800" as that will work with most strokes without offering up any piston stability issues.
Molnar would make them. I'm also having some R&R aluminum rods made for an FE journal in a 7.000" length and those will be made available too.
