Title: Stock CJ camshaft specifications at .050" lift?
Post by: Joe-JDC on March 26, 2021, 05:55:42 PM
Do any of you have the actual camshaft specifications for the Ford CJ stock camshaft at .050" lift.  The books I have list the duration as 270/290* @.100 lift.  Anyone have updated figures for the .050" duration, lobe separation, lift figures, etc.  I am building another 428 CJ for a Shelby that will be using a NOS Ford camshaft, and I would like the information for dyno comparison testing after completion.  Joe-JDC

Hi Joe,

I have mostly read 206/221 for the 0.050" duration figures. Sometimes 206/220.   I think the lobe separation is 115.

Thanks.  I was close on my figures and memory, but now I have something to print and keep in the records for comparison.  Joe-JDC
