My friend in Wyoming is looking for a bench seat for a '61 two door Galaxie.  '60-'63 should be the same.  Also same are 57-58 Merc, 62-63 Merc two doors and 60 Edsel two door.  He also needs the back seat, not sure if the Merc-Edsel back seats are the same as Ford.  PM me if you have anything and I will contact him in Newcastle, Wy.

Hey fe-starliner, I've nothing to offer your friend but would like some info from you. There is a thread on the forum asking whether headers for a 1961 Galaxie would fit a 1960 model. Since your profile shows that you own both models, can you offer direct information on this? Do the frame rails differ in those two model years? Any info would be appreciated and would educate me and others. Thanks, Val.

Sorry Val406 I just now read your post.  I can't get to the cars today, but Sunday I'll go and do some measuring / checking.  But I'm pretty sure the frames are nearly identical.

reply to Val406, sorry I didn't get to measure the differences (if any) between the '60 and '61 Galaxie frames.  I was busy this last week preparing to sell the '61 Starliner to my friend in Wyoming and completely forgot.  He came down yesterday and took the Starliner back to Wyoming with him this morning. (Saturday) But going from my memories of having the '61 since 1998 and the '60 since 2006 ( and having changed engines, transmissions, driveshafts and 9" axle assemblies and leaf springs on both) I believe the frames, if not exactly the same, are extremely similar.

I have a bench from a 62 two door sedan. Shipping to WY would be murder but I would be happy to provide photos/measurements if that helps.

60-62 Frames are the same.
