What adaptors are available for a FE to run a remote filter Thanks.

The Precision Oil Pumps one is nice, and a nice feature of that one is they staggered the height of the ports, it can make it easier so the fittings don’t interfere with each other.
Trans-Dapt still makes one too. It’s cast aluminum, not billet. I used one of these years ago on my 427, worked fine. But with the ports on the same level I remember it was a bit tricky with AN fittings getting the hex flats of the fittings to clear each other. It’s do-able, just something to be aware of.

Been using a Transdapt version on my 69 f100 for near 3 decades. Yes, bit tight for using AN fittings but does work. Remember to use BIG hoses. #8 or #10.

Leny, we are in the midst of making a fully adjustable oil filter housing, which would let you rotate the filter in any direction of your liking. Would something like that solve your problem?

I have one of the Transdapt ones, I used it on my 67 Comet way back in 79. As i recall the -12 fittings wouldn't even fit side by side so I used -8 to be sure it'd work. There was -10 but since they came in a plastic box that i couldn't try first, and i'd paid a restocking fee for the -12 cut hose and fittings i'd just bought (those things cost a fortune back then, same price as now but I was making $3.50 an hour) I erred on the conservative side. The -8 is pretty small, the hoses aren't as bad as the angled fittings which seem to have passages less than 3/8".

Thanks, I bought a double filter housing thirty years ago that is cool, that is why I decided to go that route, I need to tell on my self I took the front cover off because I forgot to put the oil slinger on, so I put the cover on and guess what I found in the tray buy the oil slinger, so off it came again O well my bad.

For those having oil filter clearance issues,an additional option to remote mount,are the the 2 pickup truck adapters if your chassis allows, you can use the common horizontal mount with a shorter filter,or there is the harder to find 76 4x4 adapter that while similar to the pass car adapters angles it forward 45*.

I used that 45 deg, 76 p/u adapter on my 69 F-250 2wd and still had to use a small diameter filter as a full size filter will not clear the cross member. I have yet to try a std. dia. shorty filter as it might clear, I don't know yet as I will try it next oil change.

Thats the problem with the 2wd trucks,that big crossmember required the use of the horizontal one, the 4x4's didn't have it until the introduction of the TTB in 1980.They are problematic on oil filter clearance too.
