Have you tried seeing how much it would cost if shipped individually? Usually, when a package reaches a certain dimension or weight, the price skyrockets. It might be worth running them through their calculator, boxed separately, and see how it comes up.

For bigger stuff, Fastenal.

FYI, They are no longer shipping between coasts, due to Covid-19.

I shipped 2 351C Boss heads from Oklahoma to North Carolina last year in 2 packages.
Cost was $204.00.
If shipped together I would have to use a frieght service.
Shipped a Jaguar engine and auto tran's to San Francisco useing Beaver Freight and the cost was $800.00, all the other frieght companys wanted $1400.00 and up.

You might try Uship.com.  You describe the items, size, weight, etc. and attach an optional photo.  Drivers then bid on the job and you can choose the lowest bidder.  I shipped some furniture that way.

I just called my local dealer and he said that, he though shipping was ok, at least to the midwest.

Back in July, I sold a trans to a guy in SD and my dealer was closed, at that time (because of the China virus). I would have had to take it 100 miles away to ship and I couldn't even ship it to SD, it would only go to LA. Had to send it FedEx, almost $400.

But, he said the only way to know for sure, was to fill out the online form.

My current issue is shipping a pair of block lettered FORD VC's to Brisbane Australia.  I'm asking $100 for the VC's and FedEx quoted $306 to ship.  USPS is $120. The person in Brisbane found a Shipito for $76 from Tualatin Oregon (300 miles away) but I'd have to get it there (another $30) and then logistics for the handoff. Finally found a DHL location in Grant Pass Oregon (50 miles) so I'll drop them off there when I go over to see Frnkeore.
Not to good when you live in a small town, but the fantastic ocean front location and weather make up for it.
