It's an interesting concept. I've watched a lot of his videos and added this one to the list as well. He has another Fairlane and I was wondering if he had changed directions. He has projects all over the drive way and stages of completion.

I can appreciate all the work, and the Fairlane was quite a roach, but I would much prefer to see a narrowed rear end to fit the big tires, than the planned fender flares. I personally hate the way modern cars have wide tracks, and wheels with no dish, so the centers are flush with the outside. I guess that comes with being an "Old Fart"! It`s a pretty ambitious project, hopefully it gets completed, not abandoned part way thru, like so many projects do, when the owner decides to "Go in a new direction". I see that with so many well intentioned projects, that either end up getting scrapped, or sold for pennies on the dollar. I have had a few myself, sure most here either have, or know somebody who has.

From the looks of his welds there is no way in hell I'd ride in it, if he finishes it.
Splicing a unibody floor and rockers is extremely dangerous.

What, you didn't like the L channel with porous welds holding the front clip to the body? Got no sense of adventure? Don't feel like dying this week?..lol ;D ;D  Those ARE some pretty crappy welds.

I agree with Rory also, that those flush face rims look like crap on older cars. It makes them look like toy cars. A narrowed rear would work in the back, but you're still stuck with the fronts that you can't do anything about without major work.

He`s going for the Riddler award at the next La roadster show.

I give him full credit for ambition. He is not afraid to tackle anything. He also has a new 7.3 he swapped in that grey Mustang and the other Fairlane has a supercharged Coyote that came out of the Mustang.

The track width thing. I'd narrow the rear end, but it's an independent suspension on those so not real easy to do. No real way to do that with wheels, they'd have to look like duallie fronts.

Hes just a kid figuring it out and trying to make some youtube coin. Dont be too hard on him. There are a million of em out there and out of that maybe 100 will actually turn out to know something.
All his stuff is a bit scary to an older guy but we were all young and dumb once ... Hell ive been old and dumb a few times when it comes to Females ...... The cars came naturally and we more reliable...
