I like it. Can't believe it was parked in the field for 10 years.

It’s Bill’s car.
I had the honor of fixing up the carbs a lil while back.

Like Drew mentioned, it belongs to Bill (forum name Hvywrnch {sp?}). He did videos for several of the FE Reunions also. A super nice guy, just like in the video.

Pretty close on the name Doug!
Yeah, that's mine and thanks to Drew it drives really, really well, only a street car for sure.
It sat for so long due to my moving out of state in 1980 and then taking overseas contract jobs for most of the 90s that kept me out of the country for up to 14 months at a stretch.
I did that contract stuff on and off until 2007 and never really 'lived' in one spot during that time.
I had no garage and had to beg space at my brothers' place when they had space available. When they needed the space, it went back outside.
There have been some minor improvements, the most noticeable was some new upholstery and a new package tray, but things have stalled a bit (again).
I'm more likely to take my truck during the summer.......still worried about someone banging into me. Seen too many bozo moves on the road.

EDIT - I don't belong to any picture hosting site but Drew is welcome to put up the one I sent him from my driveway: I did get some decent used bumpers and the correct poverty caps from Steve D.
I  guess I have made a few more improvements than I mentioned....

Glad you popped in Bill.
I go back to that video every now and then and let the nostalgia flow.
It’s an awesome car.

Thanks for the kind words, Marc! I still take it out from time to time, usually when traffic is light.
And I can't thank Drew enough for sorting out the carbs, made a huge difference in driveability.

I just wanted to get back in here to brag on my nephew, Ben, that filmed, edited, and did everything for that video.
He was trying to get his name out in the world for his film company, that is one of the very early videos that he did and to date, still the one with the most views.
He has followed his dream of making documentary films and last year he and his team won an Emmy for Best Research on their documentary about the Native Americans in Maine and their
treatment by the State in years past; "Dawnland".
Very sobering topic and film, he was over the moon to win the Emmy.

Sorry, had to get the plug in for him....back to normal 'car stuff'.

I’m a camera operator Bill. Been doing it for over 40 years.
He did a great job with it.

Interesting, Marc.
Before Covid locked everything down (and before he became a new Dad) Ben was hired to do camera work all over the world for different projects.
He sort of put his own projects on pause in order to make some money with his cameras.
I guess he has a good eye for filming.
He has good gear and also got his commercial drone license for camera work.

I just want to say, I've seen this video quite a few times over the past few years, I always like going back and watching it again.  I'm glad to find out out it's owned by a forum member, and to hear a little bit more about the car and the video.  Thanks.

Yup, been saved in my Youtube favorites since Bill first posted it.    Top notch production, great story too.

I poke at Bill every FERR about bringing it.  He seems to choose his more "economic" transportation for some reason??

The VP at my work, his son got into film/production.  Traveling the world, even got a stint with the Miss Universe pageant for a year!!  I bet that was tough one to bear with all the scantily clad girls all around and him being young too.

I did the Miss Uverse pageant for quite a few years in my younger days. I’ll leave it at, it was fun. :)
