Like the title says this is a stiff sidewall tire they still hook good my comet had 1.45 60FT.Last time out .MT says the section width should be 11.400 .They are 11 3/4 and 11 13/16 .These worked in my 67 comet but my rearend has been narrowed 7/8 By the way my new tires measure 11.400 and 11.500 just like old Mickey said .I will take $100 for them and prefer local pickup but I will ship them after Christmas if need be I am in Ga. #678 603 8400 Doug

Doug, I have been shopping slicks and recently bought some new Hoosiers. What is interesting is everywhere I look on line at your tires I cannot find mention of those being stiff sidewall. I realize the ST at the end of the part number likely means that they are stiff sidewall but unlike several other M/T stiff sidewall slicks it does not get called out. Interesting.

Actually the "ST" designation is for stickshift. I ran this tires on my 4 speed Stock Eliminator Mustang. These tires have a harder M5 compound, and have stiffer than regular M/T slicks, but not as stiff as a true "stiff" sidewall, which typically carries the "S" designation. Hoosier also has a similar 9" "stickshift" slick with a special compound.

Whenever I decided to go to this particular tire I called MT their tech told me this was a stiff sidewall .Calvert racing suggested I go with a stiff sidewall that is the reason .I called MT when I was concerned about their somewhat inconsistent section widths .Well they must have did something because the section width was just about spot on.Much to my surprise .Doug
