Post by: turbohunter on November 16, 2020, 02:15:09 PM
Hi’ y’all
Remember the story of the KR motor that I found and returned to the rightful owner?
That gentleman is looking for a CJ correct alternator bracket and hardware.
Pic below.
If you have this stuff would you get hold of me by pm and I will put you in touch with Gary.

Is this alternator mounted low. I thought that looked like the bracket for the low alternator mount

Dunno
I’m not familiar with the KR world.
Haven’t had any pm’s returned though.

Thanks, he already has an order with Mansfield that he could add the bracket to.
I was just hoping if someone had one hanging around we could help him out.
As you all know restoring a KR from the ground up is not for the faint of heart wallet wise.

I just finished my 1967 GT500. The crank damper for a PI runs a 1000.00 these days. It's worse. It uses a lot of odd obscure pieces. I know all too well. I did all the mechanical except setting up the differential and the machine work. All of the 68 cars have air injection so they bracketry is standard across the board.
Bill specializes in FE. That's all he does. Great to work with.

Yes...Alternator goes low and the air pump is above..Requires a special arm for the adjustment...
