I have a solid flat tappet, pretty stout street cam for a strong FE, got stuck in an engine and assembly lubed, then took different direction. Lifters never touched lobes
Crower 16331, Solid flat tappet, 290/298 advertised, 247/252 108 LSA .552, .565 lift. Will come in a Comp box, original box is long gone, but cam is new and unused. This cam would want somewhere around 10.25-10.50 on the street, pump gas in a 433 or bigger FE, usable in a 390 but would be pretty rowdy

Comes with a new set of Morel dumbbell lifters.
Happy to snap pictures of both, but both new and ready to go
220.00 plus shipping from Omaha

If Rick passes I may be interested to buy this. How much think give up vs a custom grind on a 10:1 cr 427 with ofb TFS heads and 2x4 mr? Not concerned about vacuum and be a tko600 / 4.30 gear. Thx Steve

if you can do it then go ahead,, might take me abit longer to come up with funds. and i dont want him or you to miss the sale waiting

Steve, I think it would be a monster in a 427 with Trick Flow heads and a steep gear. Assuming a good ring set and bore, proper build, my estimate would be around 560 HP and 550 TQ, likely peaking at 6000 for a 6300 RPM shift point. The narrow LSA gives 78 degrees of overlap which should work really well on a short stroke FE with a fast port like the TFS
In fact, if it didn't sell, I was going to play with it in a stock stroke C1 iron head 428 I am building to experiment and likely sell, but it will work much better with the TFS heads and a 427
This is a decent lobe design, Crower is nothing to sneeze at, a custom flat tappet may gain in some areas, cost in others, but this is a pretty good match for your combo. If I was going custom and staying flat tappet, I might sneak a little more lift out of a lobe, but then you are likely going to have to swap springs.
The 1.46 OD Ttick Flow heads will have s decent spring, I'd likely make sure they are no looser than 1.875 for 120 closed, 340 open. It'll be a long way from bind, but it's a good spring, could think about going with .050 keepers for break in and end up at 1.850 as well for a little more pressure
Let me know, unless someone is in the background ready to pounce :) the only place it may go is my 428 and I have a few engines to deliver first

Hi,
Sounds like a good fit. I will send you a PM to buy it. Thank you Rick for stepping aside.
As for the 427, originally was going to use some C1 heads I have with CJ valves, but just did not look like they would make the goal as-is. Also was going to use some KB hypers, but decided to step it up to a forged piston, most likely be an autotech since can get odd bore sizes. I need to take this block to the machine shop see where it will clean up. Worst wear i measure is .014", not sure it will be possible to use a .017" OS piston, but want to keep the overbore to a minimum given it is a 427 block. If it ends up at 4.26" probably have to settle for a 1/16" ring package as don't see much else in the size. If is 4.25 or close think can use a 1mm or 1.5mm ring pack. Thanks, Steve

it would be to rad for my engine i think, stock 390 bore, 10.45 comp with c6 heads.. i run the fast ez efi and my comp cam is a bit under this one. i might wait to get a better solid cam if i get a stroker built. Love to hear it when you get it built up :)
