Title: sway bar
Post by: olman on August 09, 2020, 07:54:00 PM
Does anyone make a heavier duty sway bar for the 63-64 Ford Galaxie?

Quickor makes a 1" front bar.  http://quickorgarage.com/CartPages/ford1.htm#gal. I have their rear on my '62 wagon and it makes it less....sea-sickish in the arse.   ;D

Here is one that is about half the $ of the Quickor but they are about 2 weeks backorder.

I have an Addco bar on the front of my 61. Works great.

Big front bar will help, but beware that increasing roll stiffness in the front will change a over steering car into a under steer pretty quick.  No experience with a big car like a Gal, but in smaller cars when you get into the 1~1 1/8 bars up front you really need to look at 1/2~5/8 rears to keep things balanced.  Just FYI.
