I just came across a very nice "Z" bell, dated 5H6, with very crisp codes. I know they came on 390GT and 428CJ/SCJ cars, but what came on the 66-67 427 Fairlanes? Haven't seen one for sale for a while, especially with that early date, trying to put a value to it- thanks

I am sending you a P.M. right now.

Gene I replied through FB , but on my wife's account. Also over on the old FE forum , glad to see you back there some by the way. I would say it's a early 66 GT bellhousing. I would also think yes the 427 used the same bellhousing. The later dated bell housings are worth more because they also for Cobra Jet cars. I think there worth $350 $450 in most cases. Early 68 dated ones would be more than that.

is this the bell with the hump around it.

there are two bell housings with the hump. The C5AA that has the z bar mount made in the side of the bell housing . note , there are two versions of this bell housing with the same casting number. One with hump one with out so watch out going off just casting numbers . then the C6oA bell housing made for Fairlane's and Mustangs the like that have the hump and no place in the bell housing for the ball for the z bar , because it was moved to the side of the block.
