This question, most likely, has been asked and answered before but I'm wondering if a roller rocker setup will clear baldy valve covers. I'm thinking about the Erson setup but may consider others with the end shaft support.

I know my roller tipped non adjustables will.

I know my roller tipped non adjustables will.
I will be running solids so would need adjustables. Sounds like it may work though. If it doesn't, I suppose I could add a cover spacer. I just found some at DSC Motorsports that are .600" thick.

A lot of times you can double up on gaskets and make it all work.

Depends on Cam lift I would think. One of the problems with the Ersons is the oversize lock nut. Adjusted, you invariably end up having several with the 'point" straight up and that's going to be the contact point if any. You'll know it pretty quick with a tin valve cover though. Double up the cork gaskets will help. I glue a couple together then glue to the VC. Just don't crush them when tightening.

I ran T&D street rockers under baldy valve covers with a cam that was around 0.580” lift, no clearance issues.

I use the B&B 1/2 inch valve cover spacer to clear my Dove end stands . With aluminum heads you almost don’t notice the spacer

I’ve run FPP rockers or POPS which I guess he took over and I have Harland sharps now no issues and I’m at 624 lift.

I asked this question about T&D race rockers. Here's the replies I got...

I've run stock adjustables and Harland Sharp roller rockers under factory CJ covers with no issues, although the baffles have to be removed or modified to work with the Harland Sharps. The baldies have as much room and have no baffles. I got a nice set of baldies to use on my next engine that will use the T&D race set-up. Hope some of this helps.
