Need a little info :-\
Autolite C5AF-12127-E dual point Dist. What would the value be of one in excellent condition? I seen one on e-bay at $699 and a core at $300. Any info is very much appreciated

Those are good numbers it all depends on the date code of the housing. ;)

The one I have here has 6N9 not sure how to read date codes. The N could be an M I got another one C5AE-12127-E with date code 1J23 it needs complete rebuild on it

I think I figured it out using mustangtek decoding
Date Code 6N9 Dec 9th 1966
Date Code 1J23 Nov 23rd 1961
Now I just need to find out the value of both are

Hi Jim,
A C5AE part would not likely have been built in 1961...think 1971.

The 6m could MAYBE be used in a 67 GT500 but you'd have to find the right guy restoring an early car.
Depending on condition, I'd say 4-500 IF it's the right date for a Shelby restoration. To everyone else it's just a dual point and it's worth 250 or so.
The 71 is worth about 150

"Thank you both"
I do appreciate all your info on these two Dist. Now I understand what I have and what the value is and reading date codes a bit better

Jim ,
Anything past '67 makes it a service part and the value drops about 40-50%.

Part number correction
Kent on the 428 Cobra Jet forum corrected me on the Dist after I listed it. Its an Autolite C5AF-12127-E Dist I need better glasses. My other duel point has C5AF as well
