Title: Aftermarket iron block cost options
Post by: ROBSREDFORD on April 26, 2020, 10:15:56 AM
I’m not as well informed as some but looking on BBM site iron blocks say sold out.  Looking on Ponds site the Iron block link sends you to aluminum block.  Is there any other Iron blocks aftermarket? If so whose? And when these things become available how much are they? My understanding is Genesis isn’t around anymore.  Thanks in advance

Just went to BBM page, it allowed to to add a cast iron block
To the shopping cart, appearing to not be “sold out”.  Might want to try again.  BBM blocks are highly praised. I’m hoping to get one in the future.

We'll have Pond iron blocks in the near future. Things are being delayed for the obvious reasons right now.

BBM and Pond are your only choices.

BBM should have blocks available the end of May.

I'll PM you block pricing.

Machine work is extra, they need all machine work:  align hone, decks squared, at least honed if you want to run 4.250".  Otherwise they will need bored and honed.

You mentioned Genesis which made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. They are no more and Tim Mcloughlin ex Genesis started up Sideoiler Garage. Please don’t fall into the trap that he can supply a block. We are still waiting for a block we ordered a couple of years ago that was supposedly ready to be shipped. We have been promised our money would be returned for years now. Stay away big time!!!!! We had a good experience with BBM though!
