I guess it was only a matter of time. I don’t know if anyone has seen the Zombie 222 electric mustang, it’s not a Cobra Jet drag car but you see what could be done. I’m just glad that Ford got it done first. Imagine low 8s and no noise, boy that thing could sneak up on you in a hurry.

Chevy came out with the eCOPO Camaro last year I believe..

Cant say much of electric drag racing.

But i was last year in spain watching motogp race,there also was motoe(electric race bike class) offcourse i was skeptical about those bur in the end proper racing is racing.

Drag racing will probably continue for awhile with a class for electric cars. The problem is few will watch a "silent picture". Everyone that attends like top fuel and funny car. Why?? IMO it's the noise. People always comment how " you can feel and hear the cars". Many could care less about the racing.

I agree. Without the sound I am not interested.
 I can only think of a few things we like to look at without listening to.

The crash will probably sound about the same, until/ in the instance the battery pack catches fire. Then things get "out of hand" real fast. The car is always a total loss, according to a fireman who has had training on these types of fires.

I hope this path leads the manufacturers to their eGraves. On the other hand all those annoying, out-of-work mimes may be able to get jobs as drivers.
