He is younger looking than i'd have imagined and has a link to one of the greatest comedy sketches of all time... has to be the same guy, no?

Monty Python is a big thing in my family.  That parrot sketch is one of my favorites.  Another must-see is the Argument Clinic:

Was a fan of MP when younger, but not so much now days. Right now I'm into Svengoolie and any Stooges with Curly in it.

The Jim Dove of FE fame is (or was---bad health has had him in a nursing home and he is quite likely gone now) more than 70 years old.
