Today i made a short temporary comeback in the bodywork business.
A friend that have a company called PF Racing, builds everything from
engines to complete cars. A customer had crashed his Rally car so i fixed
the dented panels today. He has his shop in a small village in middle of nowhere.
There is a few bachelor in their 50s still living with their parents. And the only
thing for entertainment besides hunting moose they have since the gas station closed
Is to hang at Peters shop. When i arrived today there was what i assumed was one of
them, you now. No ambitions no interests,no future, have not bee out of the village in 15
years tragic life...
well i started on the mangled Rally Volvo and the guy went out the door, minutes later he came in carrying a
Aluminium V8block ??? I ask him what block is that, Its a ilmor, What? A ilmor Indy engine :o
What wait a minute Indy as in Indy 500? Yes correct . Cool where do you found that. Oh i bought
it in USA. What are you putting that engine in? One of my Formula one chassis. Okay....
What formula one chassis? Oh i have a couple of them a Sauber and a Honda so one of them :o
I had a hard time to believe my ears if had not seen the engine
Where you going to drive that? Ohh I'm all to fat to fit in it, i cant drive it someone ells have to do that
I'm just building it because i want to! Okay ??? :o carry on then.....I sure meet a lot of strange people ???

Like when i heard a rumor about a two tone 50s car with Plexiglas roof over the front seat
stored in a barn fully drivable
Ohh yes a Crown Victoria right? I was sceptical tried to find out more without whip up some one others interest
Told dad to listen with guys his age up north were it was supposed to be. He know a lot of guys up there since
he built the roads up there in the 60-70s
Dad found a guy who had seen it with his own eyes. Yes a Ford, Plexi roof over front seat yellow and red
red plexi, they backed it out of the barn when he borrowed some tractor stuff the year before
gave dad the name of the village, name of owners brother where it was stored
Score, so we traveled up north to that village, More like a X village, found the brother Yes its in the
barn like to see it?, want to buy it he is probably willing to sell it? Tried to not bee to eager :D He opened the door to the barn
And there it was .....In all its glory a Fourdoor Pontiac -55 with plexi popriveted over frontseat rolled two tone paint job ;D ;D ;D ;D
Well well...but we found a Willys MB and a 32 chevy on that trip so we dont came home empty handed
