I had a 410 many years ago. I took it out of a '67 Mercury Montclair and put it a '66 F100 Ranger. I wish I still had that truck.

Bought a 72 F100 sport custom with a 360 from my uncle back in about 1980, perfect truck, my great uncle had put chrome rims on it, pretty cool for a 70 year old at the time. Proceeded to wrap the box around a light pole exiting a freeway one day. Put a used box on, fixed up the motor a bit, redid the beautiful corol red in lacquer and then proceeded to sell the rig once I had a kid, wish I had not done that.

I had a 75 f 100 long bed that had a 360 in it. Our local Mac Tool guy had bought a 428 out of a t-boned 66 Mercury Marauder. He kept it in the corner of his garage covered up. I finally talked him into selling it to me for I can't remember what, but I took it to the local machine shop and had it rebuilt and put a nice torquer cam in it and had Lopers Speed shop in Phoenix do the heads and hardened seats for me. Ran 93 octane in it with a Edelbrock vari-jection set-up on it (if you can remember those) and a set of Doug Thorley headers. Was one of the best trucks I ever had. I had a 8 1/2 foot cabover camper that would be put on during the summer months and it didn't hardly phase the performance whatsoever. Yeah,, wish I still had that one too. Bud
