Title: got my crank and rods!!!
Post by: fe66comet on January 09, 2013, 12:03:12 PM
Getting closer and weather is warming up so I can get back on the chassis too. I need to do the rest of my work on the torque boxes beefing those up and move my spring perches in 4" on either side for my 17/11 tires and wheels. Also have to install a new floor and fab up a new engine cradle out of 3/16 with a rack mount.

Excitement! I love it when the final pieces of a project arrive and I can start converting my daydreams into reality. Sounds like you're just about there  :)

Top end is the next obstacle to overcome lots of expensive machine work if I were to redo something it would have been different heads. Edelbrocks are giving me some headaches.

Can I ask what problems you are having with your Edelbrock heads?  I have a set and so far no trouble. But my motor is not together yet. Still working on the lower end.  Thanks Clifford

I need to mill to reduce the the huge 72cc chamber, partially my fault for not thinking ahead. Milling the rocker stand perches for T&D Rockers, they have to be milled flat across to accept the stands. I would have liked bigger ports out of the box and to have them CNC ported is as much as the cost of the head. If I had gone with Blue Thunder a lot of that would be avoided.
