what is the pin at the back of the block that looks like a key ring on it? Hope the pic attaches. Bear Block block Thanks

Lock pin for engine stand, would be my guess. Rob

Sure is the pin that stops the engine stand from turning around!!!
Can be seen here in the top of the blue section of my engine stand.

not that pin, the one sticking out of the block or is that the engine stand pin just sitting in that hole in the block?
-
What happens when you pull on it?

They just set the pin in that hole for safe keeping. ;) Rob
-

Stand? What stand!

if you pull it out, moments later everything goes dark, and there is a lot of debris in the air, you won't be able to hear for quite some time.

Never mind the pin, we have seen a tunnel ram on a Cammer…. need more info.
-
it's awesome isn't it

I would not recommend pulling the pin. The last time I did that, things got ugly real quick. After the police left, I had to try and explain things to the Miss. It took 2 months for my eyebrows to grow back, but things got back to normal after a while. I slight limp from one leg being shorter than the other is the only thing I have to show for it now.

I do have a thread going over in the projects section on this engine. The thread title is "Original 427 SOHC Rebuild."
I titled the thread before the owner decided to put his tunnel ram back on!!

That's the integral engine stand pin holder. All FE blocks have them. Free of charge.

I see that Cammer build thread now. Interesting intake. Very cool old cars in that shed too.

If you pull it out don't wait 10 seconds to run !
