If I am the Drew you reference, I’ll be honest, I have no idea what you are talking about.

You must just now be hearing about them. Things slow down here in the South. MCA is dead now, Mike D and Add Rock are in there 50's. I got a headache about 8:30 and went back to watching westerns.

I grew up outside NYC in the 80’s/90’s I did more than know of them.
Still not sure why this involves me.

Actually in NYC at the moment.

One of my favorites for a long time>  I have it saved in my favorites on Youtube.  I have over a hundred various songs that I can click and play and enjoy every song!

Though many of the "unique" artists back in those days had "one hit wonders" and that one hit is the only one I like.

Ten years back, when I had Sirius I loved "Hair Nation" and things of that vintage.  Still do, but I refuse to pay to listen to the radio.

I know Accept just never heard that tract. When I first heard Balls To The Wall I thought it was an AC/DC tract.

I had never heard of them. Started two of there videos, reminded me of the Beastie Boys tracts I didn't like. There language and subject matter are raunchy.

They were the opening band for the 2nd rock concert I ever went to, and I had their first album. They opened for Iron Maiden. That was a hell of a show!

Bestie Boys sounds like a great name for a Slovenian Beastie Boys cover band.   ;D

I saw the stevie ray Vaughn show at the aragon ballroom in Chicago in the mid to late 80s and the beastie boys backed them up. they had a tour bus out front and they were pouring beastie booze out the window of the bus to people coming out of the show.

There is no good music after 1990.  Crap still can't be spelled without RAP.  I still hate early whiney country music. I can deal with some of the cross-over. Yes, I like the Beach Boys, Jan and Dean and a few others. I never cared for 60's-70's drug era-anti-America hippie music either.

Everytime I get on a depression about being over 60, I can't help but think that I actually grew up in the absolute best of times. Best music, best cars, best toys, best schools, best parenting, best civil liberties, and the best girls.

Well, I still have a six before I hit 60. I'm dreading 65. I can't fly anymore commercially.  I was two when My Shelby was built. I don't think the latter 60's early 70's were good for this nation.

Heo: I couldn't agree more. Scents, music.. They really do bring back memories. Some good, some bad but they do bring back the past.
