SOLD - Need do drum up cash to finish my 427 (484). For Sale: 428 Cobra Jet cylinder heads, matching date codes 8K24 (October 24, 1968). C8OE-N. These heads have about 2200 street miles on them. The engine ran last week. Ready to run as is. Have about 30 quarter mile passes on them (street car). Best of 12.22 as street driven 12.90-13.0. I don’t need them anymore as I have a 427 going in my Fairlane. The heads were done about 8-9 years ago. I have 2.09/1.65 stainless steel valves in them. New exhaust sets were installed at that time (Stellite if I recall?) A guy on the FE forum ENGBLDR used to sell the valves. I got these from him, they have Comp 972 springs (I ran a 282S kit). Retainers and keepers are 10 degree super locks. The thumb print at the deepest part is .116 and .120. I was running rich and pump gas so there is some soot in the ports. On the one picture you will see I had a nut on the back side of the header bolt. This one threaded hole has loose threads. Shipping will be in Edelbrock head boxes.
