I have always used a factory fulcrum and clutch fork when using a Lakewood scattershield. Personally I prefer the later leaf spring style fork, which requires a fulcrum with a slot in it. I bought a new fork & fulcrum from McLeod , rather than have to find  good condition 50+ year old parts.
