I want to change the Load-O-Matic to a mechanical tachdrive distributor with a vacuum advance. Any other makes out there that have a mechanical tachdrive and can be cut down to fit a Ford?
This is for a tractor proofmeter, don't want to use the Stewart Warner crank bolt set up.
Thanks

I found a tack drive but I cant remember on the advance part I can look Monday, I am not sure what the flat six distributor is like if you have a picture that would help Leny Mason

Here is a top view of mine still in the tractor. It spins clockwise. I found a picture off of Ebay of what they look like out of the engine. The posted link here mentions a few different ways to skin this cat. An inline six Chevrolet distributor looks like a drop in with the shaft modified. I have been looking for a tachdrive 250/292 distributor, came up empty so far.
Thanks

Hello Leny, I called too late Friday. I found some V8 Chevrolet, Chrysler and Ford distributors with tachdrives. Does anyone know which one of these breaker cams will interchange with it's 6 cylinder counterpart?
