As the article says, Marty was the '66-67 Tech Advisor for the Fairlane Club for many years.  He also sold NOS parts for several model years and I bought some pieces from him while my '66 was going together.  He mentioned he was restoring a '66 427 but didn't say it was this one!  Fantastic to have the original painter Gene Winfield do the job once more.  ;D

Cool! I wonder if those side plates gave rise to the die-cast door and side plates on the 1970 Mach 1 like I have.

That is such an interesting car. It was built a full year before the other 427 Fairlanes and is it one of the 57 or the first of 58? What did they use for exhaust manifolds?
