What is old is new again.
I was cleaning out my shed and came upon some cylinder heads. C0AE-D heads seem to follow me around. Currently I have 5. The middle head is also a "D" head. I got a call from an old friend about 10 years ago and he said he was clearing out some "junk". He asked me if I wanted a "kidney bean" FE head that had some chamber "work" done on it. I said sure.
When I got it I had never seen a chamber like it. This year I finally got some BBM heads. It clicked that I'd seen something similar in an old Ford head...like a 60 year old head. Kind of fun looking at the progression.

Any flow a C0AE-D head ??
Would be neat to see how they compare to a later head
The area by the plug looks reversed as well on the 2 different heads
Is that a swirl dam or such ??

Ran those on 390's in the 60's in a 1/2 mile short track 62 Falcon bodied car at Middle Georgia Raceway in Byron. It hauled arsh.
Same deal with paint, the "new" iridescence colors were called
"flip flop pearl" in 70.
History repeats itself in more ways than you can imaging.

Ford was so close to " having it all " in 1964 , technology that is . Just think if they would have used the kidney bean chamber on a High Riser with a raised Medium Riser port in 64 ? wow so close

Stan Weiss may have the flow numbers on his site.
