Do what the rest of us who are productive working people did. GTFO Commiefornia. They have lost their mind. I live much better in the DFW area. I don't have some light in the lofers beta male telling me how to live and that I owe illegals 2/3 of my earnings.

I have had to ship paint to people in the North East and the West Coast paint they needed for their restoration because of the crazy EPA crap there many times.

Why is anyone using racing oil in the first place?  You guys running nitro or alcohol?

The "race oil" has extra zinc in it.  Not a typical formulation.  99% of my engines get this.

Summit sells a case for $37. I add some to the cart whenever I need a few more bucks to get free shipping.

Vr1 is just decent oil. Nice for my flat tappet cams.

Just bought 2 cases the other day.   I usually run the 30wt, but the 10w-30 is way cheaper so why not.  I'll need two more cases before winter anyway.

The jobber stores ‘round here don’t keep it on their shelves anymore.
Thanks for tips on where to buy it.

Oops - I meant to say I got mine from Walmart, 2 day free delivery to the front door.  I love O'Reillys but I price matched with Walmart.  I bought 12 each 5w-30 full synthetic Valvoline quarts and two oil filters for the 5.4L Super Crew - saved a full $50 off the O'reilly around the corner from work.  And, it all came right to the house.  Then turns out I mis-figured, the 5.4L takes 7 to fill.  OOPS.  Lots of people would say I'm 2 quarts short of a full fill anyway.

Chris: At least you're honest about it..  ;D  I think we all are on some level. Some just more so than others.   I run synthetic in my other vehicles because they came with them. However, the 0-40 that is factory recommended I do not run here in Texas. It worries me that it's too thin with the temps here.
I didn't think many ran synthetic oils in our Dinosaur FE's. I am still a fan of Penn Grade Oils AKA Kendall.
Are synthetics primarily being ran by those of you with roller cams?

The 2004 5.4L SuperCrew lists 5w-20.  Advice has been to piss off the EPA MPG oil and run 5w-30 full syn to help keep the cam followers and such alilve.  We're at 139K on the truck.  The Escape uses 5w-20, the F350 10w30, both full syn.
