Title: 390 Crank, Rods, .040" L2291F pistons
Post by: 67xr7cat on June 10, 2019, 07:48:57 PM
I have a complete rotating assembly (No bearings) out of a rebuilt 390 with about 1,000 miles on it.  Guy decided to put a stroker in it. My plans have changes so is up for sale. See post 4 below for pics.

Crank is a 390 2U 30/30. I'd get it polished, but is decent
Rods look good. Have stock bolts
Pistons are .040" oversize Speed Pro L 2291F forged flat tops.

$300 plus shipping. I am near San Antonio, TX. Zip is 78073

Why does the crank need polishing ??

Thanks  :)

Skirts are coated and coating shows some wear, but that is all. No bearings. As for the crank been sitting and to me looks like can use a polish, but that something I'd usually do regardless. I will try get some pictures up. Thanks, Steve

Here are some pictures of the pistons and crank. Seven of the rods are C7AE-B, One is C3AE-C.  They are all same basic part, just different casting number. Bolts are all 3/8". Thanks, Steve

Hi,

All depends. If I could sell the crank for $100, would sell the pistons with or without rods for $200. Is a good crank, just figure is harder to sell that by itself. Of course all prices are including shipping. This would make for a nice cheap rotating assembly. If it don't sell may build one of the 390 blocks I have and keep it as a spare. If someone wanted to buy the rotating assembly local and needed a block have two nice ones, both std bore that need boring. Would sell the D3TE (DIF) block for additional $150. Thanks, Steve

I think is a great price, someone could go to a 390 from a 352

I posted on Chris's post about skinny rods and what they went for on ebay

2 sets skinny rods over $100.00 each

352/360 cranks over $100.00 each

1 390 crank, $170.00

Fe stuff is all over the internet and in some mags lately
