Title: Driveshaft U-joints...Moog or Spicer?
Post by: 427LX on April 28, 2019, 07:12:23 PM
Having to replace a 1330/1350 series conversion U-joint and this is a street/strip vehicle.
Which brand do you guys prefer of the two...Moog Precision Super Duty or the Spicer?

From what I have read the Moog Super Duty is made in USA and Spicer aftermarket made in China.

Since Moog sources their joints from somebody and Spicer is a U joint manufacturer I would place my money on Spicer....

Just trying to find one that has better seal to keep grease in. Moog I had no so great.
Current joint had some grease in it but there was play in the joint when you check and try to rotate driveshaft.

A solid cross-shaft (no Zerk nor grease channel) is more important for sheer strength.
