I have a 428PI intake that has a small threaded port on the back of the carb pad. I removed a plug/set screw from it and measured the threads. I came up with 3/8-24. The port has two small holes in the top of the plenum. I want use this for my pcv vacuum. It is not 1/8 npt, so no luck finding a fitting.

So I guess my question is; has anybody run into this or is the plug I removed the wrong thread?

3/8x24 is #6 SAE thread
search for #6 SAE to barb fitting

You can use a copper gasket instead of the o-ring

The hole should be 1/4 npt not 3/8-24.No straight thread fitting's are used. The fitting C6AE shows is a low pressure ORB fitting.Generally used in hyd applications.Yes it would work but something else is wrong..
If the manifold is off I would redrill it and tap it to NPT..
You could plug it and put a Boss 302 style spacer under the carb. They are very thin and have the correct fitting on them.
You have lots of options but that hole should not be 3/8-24

That's kind of what I was thinking, I've never run across a port threaded like that on an intake. 1/4 npt would be quite a bit larger though.
