In April 1989 I brought my Galaxie home. I got it from the 1st Nat'l Bank in Andover, Ks. They had foreclosed on a body shop and were taking sealed bids on all the vehicles in back. I got it for the princely sum of $125. It was a bread and butter Z-code automatic with the drivetrain missing. Here are some pics of what it looked like when I got it home and a few of when I had just got it back together 3 yrs later right after paint. At that time I had a 428/ toploader 4spd in it with a 3.25 gear and ps, pb and a/c. There are times when I wish I had just left it that way. No real brawler but just a great cruiser. 30 yrs...how time flies. :)

Wow, that was one HECK of a deal!! I paid twice that amount for mine, back in 1983.
For $125, that's a good price even if all you use it for is a sun umbrella ;D ;D
