Title: H pipe and electric cut-outs
Post by: jholmes217 on March 21, 2019, 09:02:23 PM
Getting ready to put an exhaust kit on my 1969 Mach 1, and it comes with an H-pipe.  I'd like on put in some electric cut-outs.  Should these go before or after the H?

If you want to take full potential of open headers, which is the sole reason for cut-outs, then before the H pipe. Besides, putting them after the H pipe would put you underneath the main area of the floorpans, and that's the lowest point of the car, so they would be sticking down quite a bit.

Good point about the floorpans.  I hadn't thought about that.  Thanks!
