Title: Would one of you FE builders have an issue with looking at a sonic on my behalf?

One of the forum members offered me a 4.140 block with Barry's Forged pistons. I have the sonic sheet. I am not drag racing with this one. It passed mag, pressure checks as well. The "thin" hole happens to be the sleeved hole. I know most sleeves are much stronger than a factory bore.

   Keith,
     "Some" sonic checkers ( like the one i used to own , Nortec brand) will only check to the sleeve thickness for some reason. I verified this with a "dial" mechanical thickness checker ( limited depth "fingers") . The combined thickness where I checked was .165 yet the sonic tester said .125 which was the wall thickness of the sleeve.

Most sonic testers - maybe all of them - use sound waves (hence the term "sonic"), and measure the amount of time it takes for the wave to reflect back to the probe.  Any discontinuity in material will cause the reflection, thus the sleeve will be measured and not the overall.  Sleeves are better material than most blocks and will be perfectly fine with a fairly thin wall thickness - .090 is a perfectly good sleeve but a marginal block value.
