Lol, it's the extra heavy duty drag race secondary link. FE guys use this stuff for anything, my alternator spacers are actually just old rocker shafts.....
Ricky, I'll plate them for ya if you can't find anyone else, but it'll be a good lil while before I can get to them (3-4 months probably). I don't know anything about Autolite hardware, so do your research and figure out what color or finish you need on them.
Oh and the brass parts, just buff them on a very gentle wire wheel.
The fuel filters you may not want to replate, might be better to buy new if possible. Often that little screen in there is a problem with plating solutions, aka Chloride zinc baths will make it rust something evil, it's fine if you can get plating on them, but that is unlikely given the small entrance.

Not nearly as heavy duty as the sword you pulled out seeing me replying to a carb plating post.

Cool. I've never seen an alternator mounted forward of the radiator support. Got pics?

No sword drawn, I care very little about what most people think. Mostly just care about my crew here, lost another guy on the job today, which only reinforces this.
Spacers are cut to size. Beats buying something, always seem to have old rocker shafts laying about.

I found pics of restored Tbirds with 4100s,... pump, power valve, vacc. secondary covers and boosters were kinda gold...
Linkage was steel looking, acc. throttle arms were bright gold
Some of my 4100s have steel or gold looking throttle shafts, throttle plates steel or gold looking as well
Any way to color the aluminum booster bodys with the brass tubes still them ??
Also, wanted to clear alodine some of the 4100 bodys and air horns
That said, there 2 brass tubes from the power valve to the front jets and 2 brass tubes the control the power valve vacuum
Would the brass suffer ?? ... I read up on acid baths such but 0 experience
.. and, would love to do a pair or 4100s in a dark color that will mount sideways on my Ebrock 2x4 intake
.. gonna cut all the bosses off and such, streamline the outsides ...
Felony, there will be 2 rockers, the one Drew posted, the other for the 500 cc accelerator pump

Best way to see is get some of the same material and see how it reacts.
The chromate I use lives at ph .9
Etch is 1.8
So fairly acidic. Looking at a two minute etch and a 8 second chromate tho and immediate water washing. Shouldn’t be hard to see if you can destroy some brass.
I didn’t think the original autolites were treated, but I know little about them.
Did you ever contact Tobbe? He seems to have the look nailed.

I will look into this, have different size brass tubes on hand
Tobbe never replied back, thinking I will do some in different colors, a 4100 in Holley gold would be a mind boggler .. lol
Most folks have no idea what the 4100 on 65 is .. :-)

Alodine seems real picky on etches. Also fast acting, a few seconds too long will turn the part brown.
