Title: Jack shaft for a home made vibratory tub
Post by: winr1 on December 23, 2018, 10:31:24 PM
Something like this
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Grizzly-G5546-Bench-Mandrels-1-2-Bronze-Bearing/106489479?sourceid=dsn_ov_89b310ac-5a07-4143-982b-5a7ed6f039a8&veh=dsn&wmlspartner=dsn_ov_89b310ac-5a07-4143-982b-5a7ed6f039a8&cn=DPA-Oath-Abandoner_rt_dps_dsn_dis_ov

Gonna put offset weights on both ends and drive from the middle

Have a treadmill motor with variable speed dial

Would a ball bearing or bushing hold up better to the shaft being out of balance on both ends ??

I'd think a pillow block type bearing would be fine.
I kinda want to see the finished product, sounds like a cool project.

A vid of the bench dancing with the finished product running might be quite entertaining! ;)
