Depends on quite a few things.
Drag car only? How much horsepower?
I don't have a lot of faith in that 800 series disc for high horsepower with a hard hooking car.
-
According to Summit and a couple other places, that disc is not available.
-
What is the hp/torque on the stroker?
McCleod is coming out with some more high horse clutch kits for FEs. They are not currently available however. JB

engine not completely done yet. hoping for 550 to 600 hp tq.
Brent i got a set of cnc pond head and a custom cam from you last year.
car will be driven most of the time on the street
the kit is on ebay now. if not what need can you make a sugestion i can wait a bit longer.

I think that combo will be just fine for a street car, but I just don't think it would last behind a big horsepower car dropping the hammer on some sticky tires.
-
I'd really recommend a twin disc, but the only one out there for a big input Toploader right now requires a hydraulic TOB.
My next recommendation would be a RAM Powergrip HD 98988HD. They are rated for 650 hp.

I have run that pressure plate and a similar 26 input splined disk since 2006. I really like the combo behind my 489, more than any other clutch I have used or installed, ever....
A couple of things: You need to lose the pedal assist spring, you need to make sure the linkage doesn't over center, and I don't run it on slicks. However, it's been being worked hard for 12 years without so much as an adjustment.
McLeod stopped making that Kevlar combo, however, when I bought it, Red at McLeod said it was the combo for me for a street/strip 489. If I can find a replacement disk to keep on the shelf, I'd buy it. I wouldn't hesitate putting a set of slicks on it, but McLeod did stop selling it for some reason
In my F100, I run a 11 inch Long with a Ceramic/Organic combo, it's good too, but the ceramic feels like stone compared to the Kevlar. Not enough miles to know
My hunch though is that if more street than strip, good choice, if a lot of time hooking, might want to consider a more aggressive disk and/or pressure plate as well as consider more surface area like the dual disk.

.I put a Centerforce dual friction in my 440 six pack '70 Challenger 12 years ago and it's still working perfect today.
Centerforce seems to be a love it or hate it brand but I've had great luck with every clutch I've had from them.
