Does any body know the stock jet size on the 62 Galaxie 406 3x2 carbs?
Thanks!

For the C1AE-9510-AV carb ( Holley list # 2436 ) Jet is a #61. For the C1AE-9510-AU carb ( Holley list #2437 ) Jet is a #66. This info is from the Ford Master Parts Catalog and the Holley Illustrated Parts and Specs Manual. Per the Ford parts book this is for cars delivered to elevations under 5000 ft.

THANKS!!!
I'm running 61 and 64 and pre-ignighting guess I'll try 64 and 68/9's with this 10% fuel.

I just ran my 428 Tripower on the dyno with the stock jetting and a/f came out just a tad on the lean side with open headers. My plan was to go up to 66s on the secondaries just for insurance (and maybe to safely allow a little more spark advance), even though mufflers would probably richen it a tad.

Jim what gas was used on that pull, strait gas or the 10% crap? I don't know where I got the idea I had 64's in the secondary carbs the front had 72's and the back had 69's I put 72's in the back and 64's in the primary carb. It is running sweat and no ping but may be just a tad rich with the 10%. I'm going to do the next few days at Cruisin the Coast and see how it acts. I've been fighting this 3x2 set up since I got the car 6 months ago and just now feel I got the wooped.

It was the "up to 10% ethanol" crap. A/F ran in the mid 14s above 2000 RPM and into the 15s in the 4000-5500 RPM range. Of course, this was on the dyno and I don't yet know what it would take to make it drive nicely on the street. I assume you are running the PV in the center carb?

Jim
Yes it is all original set up with power valve and choke stove in the center carb. It has the pcv valve in the back of the intake also. I ran it last night (SWEET!!) and it looks like the mpg has about doubled. Headed to the pre- cruisin the coast cruise in tonight.
