My 483 suffered a broken exhaust valve in number one and the “P” block that it is built upon is thin on a few cylinders and will need at least another .005 to get things cleaned up. It could still be built at 4.260 or maybe go out to 4.270 for some off the shelf Diamonds. At that point a few cylinders would be at .100 on major thrust sides. So I’m gonna see what amount of beef this NOS block has and decide which one to build. It’s an October 2, 1971 service block that I picked up a few years back.
