Title: Nice day for a little cruise
Post by: AlanCasida on September 30, 2018, 02:55:15 PM
It is such a nice day out I thought I'd take my '66 F100 project truck out for a little drive. I put some new shocks on it and that really helped it. I seems to run down the road pretty nice but there is still a lot to do to it. Mainly with the interior and weather stripping. Since I bought this as a retirement project I am not doing much to it right now except making it safe to drive and evaluating it's overall condition.

Driving them is what we have them for! I've made my '65 my daily driver now, at least until the snow flies. Since I parked my '63 Comet about 10 years ago, I've missed having an older daily driver. Now I'm driving it everywhere.

cool truck!  Is that a factory black truck? quite rare.

My daily driver for past 1 1/2 yrs has been a 1966 F100 Ranger.

I have a bunch of '66 Trucks

Thanks! No it is not a factory black truck. It was originally red/white. It isn't any kind of a show vehicle but it does look pretty decent at about the distance I took the picture.  ::) but that was what I was looking for when I got it, just a good driver. I used to have a 66 F100 Ranger also and it was factory black with a 352/3 spd. However, like an idiot I sold it...oh well.
