Title: Looking for C7AE-F intake
Post by: afret on September 09, 2012, 11:25:02 PM
Need one with no modifications (no porting) and in great shape.  Anyone have one for sale? Trying not to exceed my budget on this item. Thanks.

Yup, I think there is a new demand for these things for some reason.  LOL

I think I found one though.

Would you guys mind clueing me in on what is up with this?  I am guessing NHRA (or someone?) has changed the rules in some class and now requires this intake?  I have one (not for sale, sorry) that I bought from a guy who said he used it in NHRA in the early 70's.  It is port blended for the first 1/4".  He told me this was NHRA legal to do, but only this first 1/4".  True then?  Still true?  Just curious.

NHRA started allowing these intakes for use on 428 CJ cars in stock eliminator instead of just the heavy C80E-C intakes.  For stock eliminator, the intake manifold must be unaltered so your intake probably would not pass.

Ive got one I'll trade up, down or strait  for a high riser single 4..........it's funky but but untouched.
Thought I'd through that out there......just in case.
